Service Description
AKC's STAR Puppy Test stands for: Socialization Training Activity Responsibility. These steps for success are broken down into three categories: Owner Behaviors, Puppy Behaviors & Pre-Canine Good Citizen Test Behaviors. Examples of test items: owner describes adequate daily play & exercise plan, puppy is free of aggression towards other puppies, and puppy can sit & down on command. Treats are used in this course along with lavish praise. Owners will be provided with documentation to register with AKC for S.T.A.R. puppy status. This course is a great preparation for Canine Good Citizen course.
